International Success: King of the Ring Box Cup - Sweden 2025

Our latest international trip has come to an end, and we’re proud to be returning home with two Silver medals 🥈🥈 and one Gold medal 🏅.

We travelled with a team of eight boxers, all representing the club and our town with pride on the international stage. The team performed brilliantly, and bringing home three medals from six competing boxers is a fantastic achievement at this level of competition.

These events provide invaluable experience and development opportunities for our athletes, and every member of the team showed great determination, sportsmanship and commitment throughout the tournament. We are incredibly proud of how they represented the club.

There were a few challenges along the way. One boxer was placed into a higher experience category, and we made the decision not to compete, prioritising the boxer’s long-term development and confidence. Another of our athletes showed great heart in the ring but withdrew after the first round due to injury, while one boxer unfortunately missed their second bout due to illness after already competing well.

Despite this, the team supported each other throughout and still achieved an excellent overall result.

As always, we are extremely proud of everyone involved. Opportunities like this mean a lot to our athletes, and continued support, backing and funding will help us keep providing these experiences and representing our club and our town at competitions across the UK and internationally.
